Narrative Biography

Florence was a farmer's wife and a devoted mother. Her hobby was cooking, and everyone agrees that her fried potatoes were the best.

Jim and Florence Reed were farmers and lived in many different places while raising their family of 10 children. It seems
that each child was born on a different farm, and most of those locations are unknown. From son Bill, it was learned that
he, Bill, was born at what was then known as the Rotes Ginger place, now known as Waldo Rude place. Bob was born at
the Old Furnace. Dorothy was born at the Tom Rick place, behind the old Young place. Chris, the youngest was born at
the Henry Latham place, behind the old John Chancy place.
When Chris was very small, it is believed less than one year, Jim and Florence bought a home on 37 acres at Keeling Hill,
where they lived until the late 1960's.
